J. Brent's Story
Life
J. Brent McCartney, a native of Midland, Texas, graduated
from Robert E. Lee High School in 1990. He was a two year
member of the Texas All-State Choir. He received the
Bachelor of Music Education degree from Texas Christian
University in 1995. While in Fort Worth, he served as the
TCU Church Music Intern at St. Stephen Presbyterian Church

Currently, Mr. McCartney is
Director of Choral Activities at Hillwood Middle School, in
Keller, Texas. Brent resides with his wife Laura Lee and daughter Elizabeth Ellis and James Luke. Having been a life-long member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church of Midland, Brent was surrounded with musical excellence which was the stepping stone of his choice of a career in choral music.
